UN Chief Mourns Loss of Lives in Pakistan’s Flash Floods

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has voiced profound grief over the deadly flash floods that have wreaked havoc across Pakistan, claiming numerous lives and displacing families.

In a statement delivered through his spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, Guterres extended his solidarity to the people of Pakistan during this period of immense hardship. He emphasized that the United Nations stands by the victims and their communities in their time of suffering.

The Secretary-General also affirmed that the UN is prepared to extend humanitarian support and assistance if the Government of Pakistan requests it.
