Independence Day 2025: Pakistani Embassies Worldwide Celebrate with Pride and Unity
Pakistani embassies and high commissions across the globe marked the nation’s 79th Independence Day with heartfelt enthusiasm, showcasing patriotism, culture, and unity among overseas Pakistanis.
In Paris, the Pakistani Embassy hosted a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony led by Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, who raised the national flag as the national anthem played. The event brought together members of the Pakistani diaspora, embassy staff, and families—many accompanied by children dressed in green and white. The program featured patriotic songs, a documentary screening, and a traditional Pakistani feast, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
In Bahrain, the embassy in Manama welcomed a large number of community members to a colorful celebration. After the flag-hoisting, guests viewed a documentary on the Marka-e-Haq campaign. A special photo exhibition highlighted equipment used in Operation Bunyan un Marsoos, such as aircraft, missiles, and cyber defense tools—symbolizing the unwavering determination of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership. Official Independence Day messages from the President and Prime Minister were read to the attendees, while Bahraini newspapers released special supplements in honor of the occasion.
In New Delhi, the Pakistan High Commission also held a ceremony to mark the day. Saad Ahmed Warraich, Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires in India, hoisted the national flag at the Chancery Lawn. The event included the reading of presidential and prime ministerial messages, the cutting of a celebratory cake, and a cultural performance by children in traditional attire, depicting significant moments from Pakistan’s independence struggle.
These celebrations, held in various corners of the world, reflected the deep connection overseas Pakistanis maintain with their homeland, honoring not just the nation’s history but also its cultural heritage and spirit of resilience.
