Gaze Up Tonight — Perseid Meteor Shower at Its Peak

The night sky is preparing a spectacular show as the Perseid meteor shower reaches its peak between August 12 and 13. Astronomy enthusiasts can expect to see up to 150 meteors per hour streaking across the heavens, especially in Scotland and across the Northern Hemisphere.

For the best experience, experts recommend finding a dark, open area away from city lights and looking up after midnight. While the bright Sturgeon Moon may slightly reduce visibility, the Perseids remain one of the most anticipated and dazzling annual celestial events.
